The Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of Client Service Team operations including the Underwriting, Accounting, Loss Control and Budgeting. Develop and maintain key business relationships with the clients and other regulatory bodies and companies as appropriate.

Responsibilities

Specific Duties will include:

 

  • Develop budget for 2 SIG’s
  • Develop cash flow for MEGA
  • Complete Annual Budget for MEGA
  • Coordinate vendor activities and contracts – ie: actuary, financial auditor, payroll auditor, employee assistance program provider
  • Work with underwriting on excess submissions
  • Prepare D&O applications and place coverage
  • Approve expenses – ie. Vendor billings, commission payments, refunds, etc.
  • Review of accounting functions for both SIGS
  • Work with Loss control representatives to ensure compliance with loss control plans
  • Management of all agency agreements – MEGA

 

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports as required by the SIG’s.
  • Monthly Dashboard and Claim reports – MEGA
  • Quarterly Report – DFSIG – administrative report
  • Quarterly CCMSI billing – MEGA (update for correct percentages, salaries, etc.)
  • Annual Reports items for Annual Group meetings of both SIGS- including proxy forms, voting items, administrative reports/presentations, etc.
  • Coordinate and attend Trade Shows
  • Oversee and review the preparation of all reports required for the Division of Insurance. 
  • Includes:  membership listings, quarterly statutory reporting, annual statutory reporting, any items associated with the annual state audits. Rate Audits and Rating Filings which are required annually.
  • Prepare and facilitate MEGA Board Meetings 
  • Coordinate and approve all items associated with the SIGS renewals
  • Coordinate and approve all items associated with the SIGS payroll audits 

 

Administrative Items:

 

  • Supervising of Customer Service Representative, Senior Accountant, 2 loss control representatives. Includes annual performance reviews, approval of expenses and time sheets
  • Budget to actual reporting
  • Cash flow updates to investment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with proven proficiency.
  • Must have organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a team leader in a Client Service Team organization. Proven supervisory or project supervision experience.
  • Reliable, predictable attendance within client service hours for the performance of this position.
  • Responsive to internal and external client needs.
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and/or in writing both internally and externally.

 

Education and/or Experience                                                                    

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

10 or more years of experience handling claims required.

 

Computer Skills                                                               

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as, Word, Excel, Outlook.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Working toward ARM, CIC or similar insurance industry designation required.

P/C License required
