    The Association Accountant II position is responsible for the overall accounting and financial reporting functions for various association self-insured accounts and corporate accounting support as needed.


    • Responsible for the preparation of journal entries, post to general ledger and prepare financial statements on a monthly basis for all association programs for which CCMSI is responsible for accounting.
    • Responsible for monitoring all bank accounts, cash flow/transfers, and investments. 
    • Responsible for updating and maintaining financial data, accounting control sheets, etc. for association accounts, including the use of SAGE100, Visions, and other software that would enhance the performance of the association accounting function. 
    • Prepares special financial reports and/or analysis which are requested for association accounts. 
    • Responsible for preparing cash receipts and disbursements functions for association accounts. 
    • Responsible for the collection procedures, including late charges, delinquency and cancellation notices for past due association account members. 
    • Responsible for the preparation of invoices for association accounts. 
    • Maintains contributions receivable sub-ledgers. 
    • Responsible for the timely completion of monthly accounting checklists and internal control procedures. 
    • Prepares for and complies with outside audits include CPA and DOI audits. 
    • Provides leadership and coordination for the Association Accounting staff. Assists in the training of new staff members, as needed.  
    • Reliable, predictable attendance within client service hours for the performance of this position. 
    • Responsive to internal and external client needs. 
    • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and/or in writing both internally and externally. 
    • Ability to get along with others. 
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience                                                                    

    Bachelor degree preferred in Accounting or Finance.

    Will consider an Associate degree or non-degreed accountant with five years of experience in a related accounting field. 


    Computer Skills                                                               

    Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
