The Loss Control Consultant must have experience working with and specializing in schools and will work with insured customers at their location to evaluate the Workers' Compensation accidents, identify trends and together they will develop a plan to reduce the exposures. This may include installing physical guards, modifying or developing safety rules, conducting safety meetings, making observations of safe/unsafe behavior, developing "best practices", conducting supervisor training, keeping abreast of WC and OSHA regulations, providing written safety programs, supplying safety videos, conducting seat belt surveys, and reporting the results back to underwriting. Enforcement and application of these controls remain the responsibility of the insured customer. This is a field position having minimal supervision but regular evaluation of effectiveness. Approximate field time for this position is 60% with some overnight travel.

Education and/or Experience
A minimum of 4 or 5 years of loss control experience, college degree in a safety curriculum, related training or related job experience is required.
Computer Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Attainment of professional designations, such as the Advanced Safety Certificate, Association in Risk Management (ARM), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other designation as outlined in CCMSI’s Professional Designation program is encouraged.
