As an Underwriter I, your role will involve evaluating individual risks within your designated program to assess underwriting acceptability, making recommendations to approve, refer, or decline risks according to established carrier policies and your authority level. QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
Associate degree and two years business experience or Bachelor degree required. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Organizational and presentation ability, professional manner and mathematical aptitude. Some insurance background helpful. Flexibility, accuracy, initiative a must. Ability to work as a team member in a rapidly-changing environment.
Computer Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
