The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate of the base pay range for this role, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. 🔍 Position Overview:

The Corporate Accountant I will support our internal accounting operations through a variety of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger tasks. This is a hybrid role based in Danville, IL, with up to six months of in-office training before transitioning to a hybrid schedule. Daily responsibilities will include data entry, reconciliation, journal entries, and report generation using Microsoft Office and SAGE accounting systems.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform accounts receivable functions including billing report reconciliations, invoicing, and posting cash receipts.
  • Process accounts payable by entering invoices, processing payments-checks or electronic, matching and mailing checks or necessary documentation.
  • Prepare overnight packages, copies, and check deposits for various bank addresses.
  • Record general journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts including pre-paid expenses, depreciation, and accrued liabilities.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and spreadsheets and generate monthly journal entries.
  • Assist with monthly forecast-to-actual expense comparisons and provide support for the annual operating plan.
  • Generate monthly office comparison spreadsheets and maintain accuracy across accounting data systems.
  • Collaborate professionally across departments and contribute to a high-performing, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

🧠 Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree in Accounting or related business field preferred.

  • Experience: Entry-level with related business or clerical accounting experience.

  • Technical Proficiency: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Familiarity with SAGE or other accounting systems a plus.

  • Key Strengths: High attention to detail, task ownership, initiative, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
