Location: Albuquerque, NM
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (In office 2 days/week following initial training)
Pay Range: $55,000 annually

About This Role

We’re looking for a Workers’ Compensation Claim Representative I to join our Albuquerque-based team. This is a hybrid role handling claims under the New Mexico jurisdiction only for multiple client accounts across varied industries. You’ll manage workers’ compensation claims from start to finish, with an emphasis on compliance, service, and clear communication.

 

 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Investigate and manage assigned workers’ compensation claims in accordance with CCMSI best practices, client instructions, and NM state regulations

  • Communicate with injured workers, employers, attorneys, and medical providers by phone and email

  • Analyze and approve medical and legal bills, reserving and resolving files within authority

  • Prepare and file state forms and client reporting documents

  • Support and collaborate with defense attorneys and vendors

  • Ensure client service expectations are met through queue management and responsiveness

  • Potential minimal travel for training or claim reviews

 

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Required:

  • New Mexico Workers’ Compensation Adjuster License

  • 3+ years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims in New Mexico
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

  • Prior TPA Experience is helpful

Performance Metrics

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Compliance with statutory timelines, CCMSI Best Practices, and client-specific handling instructions

  • Client satisfaction and service responsiveness

  • Timely claim queue management and documentation quality

Compensation & Compliance

The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
