Job Summary
As a Claim Assistant in our Dallas office, you’ll support our liability claims team by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This role is critical in ensuring smooth claim operations and timely service delivery. You’ll be responsible for organizing documents, maintaining records, and supporting the team with day-to-day claim processing activities. This is a fully in-office position and plays a key role in upholding CCMSI’s high standards of client service.
Provide general clerical and administrative support to the liability claim team
Open and prepare new claim files and ensure required documentation is scanned, filed, and routed correctly
Summarize and log correspondence, legal documents, and other claim-related records
Manage and update diary entries and task lists to meet internal and jurisdictional deadlines
Process incoming and outgoing mail, including certified mailings
Respond to internal requests for claim documentation or status updates
Assist with preparing reports or client materials as requested
Maintain accuracy and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Ensure compliance with CCMSI claim standards and client-specific handling instructions
Required:
Associate’s degree or 2+ years of related business experience
Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable, predictable attendance during business hours
Preferred:
Previous claims experience is preferred but not required.
Performance Metrics
Performance will be measured by timely claim handling, diary compliance, and quality of internal and external communications.
