Hourly Rate: $22.00–$24.00

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Only Claim Representative to join our Reno, NV team. In this in-office role, you will manage medical-only workers’ compensation claims for a variety of industries including casinos, county entities, school districts, mining, agriculture, construction, cities, and temporary agencies. This role focuses exclusively on Nevada jurisdiction claims.

 

You will receive structured training during your first year, starting with CCMSI’s internal training program, followed by preparation for your Nevada Workers’ Compensation Adjuster’s License. Within 6–8 weeks, you will begin making claim determinations, processing bills, and maintaining claim files under the supervision of experienced staff.

Responsibilities

  • Make timely and accurate medical-only claim determinations in accordance with Nevada regulations and corporate standards.

  • Process billing and payment approvals while ensuring compliance with client-specific handling requirements.

  • Attach and manage claim documents, maintain diary notes, and stay current with all email and file communications.

  • Request, monitor, and summarize medical treatment and correspondence.

  • Work collaboratively with a team of medical-only adjusters, claim representatives, and support staff.

  • Participate in local claim meetings as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong typing, grammar, spelling, and data entry accuracy.

  • Excellent phone, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Nevada Adjuster’s License preferred, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with medical terminology.

  • Prior claims, insurance, or office experience.

Performance Metrics

  • Timeliness of claim determinations and payments.

  • Accuracy of documentation and diary management.

  • Responsiveness to emails, documents, and client communications.

  • Compliance with internal audits and supervisor reviews.

Compensation & Compliance

The posted hourly rate reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
