Build Your Career With Purpose at CCMSI
At CCMSI, we don’t just process claims—we support people. As one of the largest employee-owned Third Party Administrators in the country, CCMSI delivers customized claim solutions that help our clients protect their employees, assets, and reputations. We are a certified Great Place to Work®, and our employee-owners are empowered to grow, collaborate, and make meaningful contributions every day.
The Multi-Line Claim Representative I is responsible for investigating and adjusting assigned liability claims across multiple lines of coverage. This position serves as a developmental role with the opportunity for advancement to Multi-Line Liability Claim Representative II or senior-level claim positions.
You’ll handle claims involving Auto, General Liability, Products, and Government accounts across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring that each claim is managed in accordance with CCMSI’s high standards of quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
This is not an HR, benefits, safety, or manufacturing management role. We are seeking an insurance claims professional with proven experience directly investigating, reserving, litigating, and settling complex multi-line claims—including auto liability, general liability, and premises liability—as an adjuster within an insurance carrier, TPA, or similar claims-handling environment. Candidates without this background (for example, those with HR-only, safety, or employer-side risk management experience) will not be considered.
Investigate, evaluate, and adjust multi-line liability claims in compliance with jurisdictional requirements and CCMSI claim handling guidelines.
Review medical, legal, and miscellaneous invoices to ensure reasonableness and relation to claim exposure.
Authorize and process payments on assigned claims within settlement authority.
Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys as authorized by the client.
Select and oversee defense counsel as appropriate.
Identify, pursue, and monitor subrogation opportunities.
Prepare and maintain accurate claim documentation, reports, reserves, and payment records.
Ensure compliance with established service commitments and performance standards.
Required:
Minimum of 3 years of liability or multi-line claim adjusting experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable attendance and commitment to client service excellence.
Preferred:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field.
Prior experience within a Third Party Administrator (TPA) environment.
An active Designated Home State (DHS) Adjuster License in Texas, Oklahoma, or Florida is required for applicants who do not currently hold licenses in all applicable jurisdictions.
A Department of Insurance (DOI) license is required for all states that mandate one.
Quality and accuracy of claim handling and documentation.
Compliance with claim handling standards and service commitments.
Supervisor and client feedback.
Audit results and timely claim resolution.
